COPENHAGEN FASHION WEEK : BARBARA I GONGINI

Post date: 2/4/15

Copenhagen fashion blogger

Last week, on January 30th, I had the chance to attend BARBARA I GONGINI fashion show that was held at the beautiful Copenhagen City Hall (Rådhus). It was my first time attending Copenhagen Fashion Week as a guest and not volunteer (what I did last year) and it was a great honour to see this show live. It was something I had never seen before and the brand definitely got a new fan!

You can scroll below through some of the stunning looks and get caught up just like I did, but what I highly recommend is watching the video at the end. The musical performance that was held in the middle of the runway was brilliant. So many sounds mixed together bringing that dramatic vibe to the beautiful hall. It was worth seeing and experiencing.

I want to say a huuuge thank you to BARBARA I GONGINI for inviting me to the show and leaving me with  an unforgettable experience. Now I can't wait for the collection to hit stores so that I can get my hands on some of my favourite pieces. I love how the designer plays with fabric and my all-time-favourite black. The look I loved the most you can see in the intro picture at the top of this post.

Lips and Copenhagen

Post date: 5/21/14

Sad times.. no posts.. no nothing. *shed a tear* Without a camera my blog is an empty corner. :( But I am about to change that. I swear.
Here is my outfit from yesterday. The weather was beautiful and Copenhagen - alive. I love living here even for the people. I could just sit in the middle of Cph and watch how unique and well-dressed everyone is. It's a beautiful city and if you haven't yet been here - missing out, darling. :)

Easter and other thingies

Post date: 4/22/14

And how was your Easter? :)
-----------------------------------------------
Here are couple of my latest Instapic's for you to enjoy. The first to up there are from the Easter when we (students it is) had a nice celebration with closest friends and delicious food. It was the first time when I celebrated Easter by such a nice table, hehe.

And up here are my favorite snacks - Ben&Jerry's Cookie Dough ice cream and triple chocolate chip cookies - and - salad lunch with chicken baked in soy marinade, cherry tomatoes, cheese and chicken lavash snack. I hope I made your taste-buds go a bit nuts.

Up here on the left you can see a beautiful piece of architecture in Copenhagen and my famous garlic bread baguettes with melted cheese. mm..
And here is my face with a 'licious street art next to it.

God, Hogwarts or whatever you believe in, bless Instagram. :)) This is my only tool for taking shots right now since I sold my beloved Nikon just recently (and that is the reason for my lack of posting)..
But no worries, I am getting a new camera pretty soon.
Stay awesome. xx

Monki steals my heart (once again)

Post date: 3/28/14

So spring is here! So are new collections in our favorite stores - one of mine is Monki. The newest collection of them is stunning, as you can see in the tiny collage I made. Yesterday, while walking through Copenhagen, I decided to go in the store since they have a wonderful deal - 10% off everything if you share a smile before paying (use code springsmiles when shopping online). Of course I couldn't leave empty-handed and now I am a proud owner of the stripy socks you can see in the collage. But I can guarantee - I will be back for more, haha.
Let me know which items you would love to own this spring/summer and be sure to check out their stores or shop online. :)

MYMY COPENHAGEN

Post date: 10/31/13

MyMy Copenhagen is a Danish brand founded this fall by Marianne Kruse. She is also founder of the web shop Henny and My.
MyMy Cph accessories are simple but with a sense of luxury. After moving to Denmark, I have started to love and enjoy danish fashion even more. I hope you do as well.

VISITING DYREHAVEN

Post date: 10/21/13

I never thought that I would see so many deers in one place. The visit to Dyrehaven in Klampenborg was such an amazing experience! The day was amazing as well. Even though it was pretty cold outside, the sun was shining and everything looked so beautiful.
There are about 2000(!) deers just walking around and eating off the grass. No fence. Just plain freedom.

INSTAPOST

Post date: 10/7/13

Since I have not tried anything like this before, I decided to start something new and once in a while post some of my latest Instagram photos. I think it is a cool way to share some of my favorite moments with those of you, who do not use Instagram or do not follow me.

Cozy candle-light filled sunday // My new mac Batman decal sticker (here)
Going to the city to do some shopping // Jelly Beans at The Candy Megastore
The perfect evening with wine, Oreo's and a movie // My first purchase made from DK <3

Take care :)

STUDENT LIFE

Post date: 9/18/13

As you know, I am now a freshman at Copenhagen Business Academy and living in Denmark, so if you are interested, I have made another blog here, where I post everything about starting your life in Denmark. If you are interested in getting to know more about student life here and more, go check it out.
Meanwhile, I wanted to give you a little preview of my new room that I share with Katrina. It is not big, but very comfy and that is quite enough. :)

LIFE UPDATE

Frederiksborg Castle (via instagram)

Hello my dear followers! Maybe this is unexpected or maybe you've heard, but I have changed my location from Latvia to Denmark. I've been here for 1 week now and it is amazing! I am living close to Copenhagen - Kgs Lyngby and I am studying Multimedia Design and Communication at Copenhagen Business Academy. It is still hard to get used to things so I am sorry about not posting a thing lately. Still, I am preparing some cool posts for you and many surprises. I can't believe how amazing Denmark is. So many great opportunities and possibilities.
As a fashion blogger, I must say - stores are to-die-for. I love and have always loved Danes and Swedes for their sense of fashion - laid back and still stylish. Now that I am living among them, I am even more motivated than ever to work on this blog.
I will let you know more about my ideas and future posts very soon. I still need to get all the things together, like, find a job, buy a bed and etc. haha.
Stay tuned for many great things coming very soon.

xx
